Visa

The list of the following documents should be submitted to the Ukrainian embassy for obtaining a visa. The list can vary depending on the country and a study period at a foreign higher education institution. You should verify details on the websites of the relevant embassies.

  2. Invitation letter from foreign HEI
  3. Proof of financial support
  4. Three passport size photographs (3.5x4.5)
  5. Two filled Application forms
  6. Health insurance
  7. Autobiography in chronological table where you indicate obtained education
  8. Printed Motivation letter where you should specify a clear study plan in the country you enter and return to your motherland after the study period
  9. Certificate of no criminal records, an Apostille must be affixed
  10. Documents on education with, an Apostille must be affixed
  11. An Apostille for Certificate of birth

Documents requiring an Apostille. An Apostille must be affixed to Diploma and Diploma supplements, Certificate of no criminal records, Certificate of birth, then the documents must be officially translated into the language of the country you plan to study in (the translation must be made either by sworn translator of the embassy or must be notarised).

An Apostille must be affixed to Diploma (Bachelor?s, Master?s degree)/ Certificate of educational achievement and Supplements by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, address: 26/41 Pavlovska St, Kyiv. For more details: apostille.in.ua

The Ministry of Justice affixes an Apostille to the Certificate of birth for students born before 1990. The Apostille stamp is put on a notarised copy.

Period of execution: about 5 working days

Civil Registry Office affixes an Apostille to Birth certificates of the students born in Ukraine (after 1990, if the document bears the National Coat of Arms of Ukraine)

Period of execution:

? if there is a marking of the local Department of Vital Statistics and Civil Status Registration (RAGS) on the document ? on the same day

? if there is no a marking of the local Department of Vital Statistics and Civil Status Registration (RAGS) on the document ? about 20 working days

Certificate of no criminal record (validity period ? one month):

You can receive the certificate at the Information Technologies Department, 10 Academica Bohomoltsa Street, the reception office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 1st floor, room 7, tel. (044) 256-14-60, (044) 256-1440, (044) 256-1565.

Opening hours:

Issue and acceptance of application forms: 09.30 to 10.30 and 14.30 to 15.00

Issue of certificates: from 17.00 to 17.15.

Processing period: 10 working days

An Apostille to Certificate of no criminal records is issued in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
